Churches hit S.A. firms
NZPA Correspondent Washington Leaders of churches with at least SUSIO billion ($22.2 billion) invested in companies that do business with South Africa have threatened to sell those stocks unless the companies end what the churches describe as a policy of “partners in apartheid.” The group said it selected the 12 companies because of their size and direct business involvement with the South African Government.
