Templeton wins golf
Templeton won the Canterbury junior inter-club golf competition which finished yesterday. Templeton finished with 11 points, the same as Christchurch, but finished with 56Vz individual games, three more than Christchurch. Russley was third with 10Vz points. Results of final round matches played yesterday at the Coringa course were: Russley 3¥a, Waimairi 2¥a; Kaiapoi 3, Harewood 3; Central Canterbury 3¥a, McLeans Island 2%; Templeton 5Vz; North Canterbury 2¥z; Christ-
church 3‘/a, Waitikiri 2¥z; Avondale 4%, Windsor 1%; Coringa 3, Weedons 3. Winner of the east zone was Christchurch and Russley won the west zone. The player of the series was Craig Daken (Waitikiri). The runner-up was Andrew Hobbs (Templeton). Two Canterbury representative teams were named at the end of the competition. The Red team will play Central Canterbury at Burnham on June 23, and the Blue team will play North Canterbury at Rangiora also on June 23. The teams are: Red team: W. Sherwood (Windsor); K.
