Dalgety, the international food and agricultural group, announced further expansion through an agreed take-over bid for Gill and Duffus. one of the leading names on world commodity markets. Dalgety, founded a century ago to trade in Australia and New Zealand, said it would offer £126 million ($NZ356.5 million) in shares and cash for Gill. It said the merger would enhance its position by creating a broader-based group with com- ; plementary skills. i
