Incentive benefits will be ‘eroded’
PA Wellington Most of the benefit of new trade posts and other export assistance would be eroded by high inflation and interest rates, the Opposition spokesman on overseas trade, Mr John Falloon, said last evening.
Mr Falloon was com-
menting on the Budget B* ge for exporters reyesterday by the Prime Minister, Mr Lange.
Mr Falloon said New Zealand exporters were already penalised by having to cope with a two-tier economy in which cost-plus pricing often made input prices well above world market levels.
