Beach Buggy coming south again

Beach Buggy, the early favourite for the Cigna Insurance Semi-final at Washdyke on Saturday, is due to travel south by road today from Stratford. The first two placegetters in Saturday’s race will qualify for the $lOO,OOO final at Alexandra Park a week later. If Beach Buggy qualifies he will return home by road and travel on again later in the week to Auckland. Trident will travel north by air tomorrow along with Folie Bergere and Luna Dawn, candidate for the

D.B. Export Fillies’ Final on Saturday. Folie Bergere requires one scratching to re-enter the field. If this is not achieved she will start in a C2 race on Saturday. She was an impressive winner at Addington Raceway last Friday. Rely, Farm Boss and Ollie’s Chance, other southern horses to have qualified for the Cigna Final, will travel north by air tomorrow week. They will be accompanied by any other horses which qualify in the race at Washdyke.
