Golf lead shared
Templeton and Christchurch have scored 10 points from 12 rounds in the Canterbury junior inter-club match-play golf competition to lead Russley and Waimairi Beach by a half point. Templeton has the narrow advantage of one individual win more than Christchurch with the thirteenth and final round to be played at Coringa on May 26. Results of the eleventh and twelfth rounds at Greendale last Sunday were:— Round 11.— Avondale 4, Kaiapoi 2; Waimairi Beach 3%, Nortn Canterbury 2%; Christchurch 3, Coringa 3; Templeton 4%, Weedons 1%; Central Canterbury 4, Waitikiri 2; Russley
5, Windsor 1; Harewood 5, McLeans Island 1. Round 12.— Waimairi Beach 4%, Central Canterbury 1%; Russley 6, North Canterbury 0; Templeton 5, Harewood 1; Waitikiri 4%, Kaiapoi 1%; Weedons 4, Avondale 2; Coringa 3%, McLeans Island 2%; Windsor 4, Christchurch 2.
Points:— Templeton 10 (51), Christchurch 10 (50), Russley 9% (46%), Waimairi Beach 9% (44%), Waitikiri 8 (49), Kaiapoi 6 (37%), Windsor 6 (32%), Central Canterbury 5 (35), Avondale 4 (33%), North Canterbury 4 (28%), Harewood 3%, (28%), Coringa 3% (25%), Weedons 3% (23), McLeans Island 1% (20).
