Minto office burgled

PA Auckland ' The Auckland office of Hart was burgled early on Monday but the police do not think the incident was related to the All Black tour of South Africa. The leader of the antiapartheid organisation. Mr John Minto, said intruders forced a door and ripped several boards off an internal wall to enter the office.

The burglars ignored a sign on the office door saying no money was held on the premises. /

A chequebook with 27 cheques, a $250 typewriter and a $4OO amplifier were taken. Petty cash and a few other items were left undisturbed. Mr Minto said the stolen goods were not insured. Entry to the upstairs office was gained between idnight and 9 a.m. on Monday. Hart would appeal to supporters for funds to replace the equipment. Mr IVlinto said. Anti-tour work would not be affected.
