Vicar a party organiser

PA Auckland The Rev. Andrew Beyer has been appointed regional organiser for the Labour Party in Auckland. Mr Beyer, who is 35, succeeds the former regional secretary, Vai Scott, who has retired after a restructuring of party positions.

When he resigned in August as vicar of St George’s Anglican Church, Epsom, Mr Beyer said he was committed to opposing the All Black tour of South Africa.
