Underfloor heat is safe, cheap, trouble-free
The best time to decide on a home heating system is before a home is built.
The positioning of ducts, boilers, free-standing stoves and fireplaces is of great importance to the over-all design of a home, but when
it comes to underfloor heating, pre-planning is vital.
The Pyrotenax invisible storage floor heating system is built into the floor slab when the concrete is poured. The heating elements are clipped to the reinforcing steel mesh in a looped formation and when the concrete is poured over the mesh the heating cable is securely held in position.
Comprising a metal conductor surrounded by mineral insulation, covered with
a copper sheath and finally with a polyethylene sleeve, this system is protected for life by the concrete in which it is embedded.
Experience has proved that Pyrotenax has remarkable strength and is completely safe. The installation of Pyrotenax presents no problems, and can be done by any home handyman, providing the instructions are followed, and that other labourers working on the house such as those pouring concrete, or joiners, know where the cables are laid, and exercise care when working around the heating system. Pyrotenax can easily be installed in an existing house, by cutting channels into the concrete, laying the elements and then sealing in.
Heat input to the slab is controlled by a thermostat which can be either wall mounted, or controlled through a sensor embedded
