Conversion alleged
PA Dunedin Tai Colin Piri Renata, aged 25, a yard labourer, was remanded in custody when he faced a charge of unlawful conversion of a four-wheel-drive vehicle, in the District Court at Dunedin on Monday. The charge resulted from a 12-hour police effort on Monday in which his young daughter was reunited with her mother. Judge Paterson remanded Renata to May 3.
