Offers to replace goods

A Christchurch retailer has come to the aid of Nigel Morrell, a cerebral palsy sufferer whose stereo unit,

citizen band radio, and colour television set were stolen from his Riccarton flat on Monday.

The goods will be replaced by Mr Noel Leeming, until insurance on the stolen items has been settled. Mr Leeming made the offer to the Crippled Children Society yesterday after reading in “The Press” about Mr Morrell’s plight. The society’s administrative assistant, Mr Bill Chappell, said that several persons had also given money to help replace Mr Morrell’s goods, taken from his Darvel Street flat. Morrell a television set. Mr Chappell said that the society thanked those who had offered help to Mr Morrell in a time of stress.
