Man caught on roof
A young man was apprehended by the police on the roof of a chemist’s shop in St Albans, at midnight, soon after he had gained entry to the building. The police surrounded the building and arrested him with no trouble, said a police spokesman. A man, aged 19, will
appear in the District Court today on a charge of burglary.
The incident is the latest in a recent spate of attempted and successful burglaries involving chemist shops. Several arrests have been made in connection with previous incidents.
