Police inquiry continues
PA Dunedin The inquiry into the police handling of allegations of procurement of girls for live sex shows is likely to continue into next week at least, according to one of the three-member inquiry team, Chief Superintendent Peter Mairs. The inquiry began this week with interviews of staff, Mr Mairs said. He expects interviewing
to extend into next week,
but could not predict whether a third week would be needed. The police team — Deputy Commissioner Bryan Gibson, Chief Superintendent Mairs, and Superintendent Peter Faulkner — were apointed by the Commissioner of Police, Mr Ken Thompson, with an independent examiner, Mr J. A. L. Gibson.
