Merit awards went to Jane Reynolds, of Maraekako, near Hastings, for “Late Run Shearing,” an oil Eicture of a shearing gang; fave O’Neil, of Wanganui, for "Circus,” a circus scene in oils; John P. Gully, of Gisborne, for a landscape, “From the Huiarua Range, Urewera,” and Sue Vincent Hill, of Auckland, for “Susan Mary,” a water-colour montage of a small girl. This year’s Montana Lin-
