Electrix consent
The Examiner of Commercial Practices has given his consent to ASEA Electric (NZ), Ltd, to acquire Electrix, Ltd, from McConnell Dowell Corporation, Ltd. The acquisition includes all the assets, stock, and work in progress, of the manufacturing and related activities of Electrix. Drilling progress The Awakino-1 well was at 2744 metres at 6 a.m. yesterday, having progressed 17 metres since Wednesday, Petrocorp (Exploration), Ltd, said. Drilling is continuing. The
Manutahi well in Taranaki was at 250.5 metres at 8 a.m. yesterday, the same level as on Wednesday. The drilling, operator, NZ Oil and Gas, said it is prepared to drill ahead in a 5% inch hole. Retail sales Retail sales in February rose 8.7 per cent to $1591.4M, compared with February, 1984. After correction for seasonal changes in purchasing patterns, and for differing numbers of trading days in each month, sales in February show an increase of 1.2 per cent compared with January.
