Located 35 km west of Sydney, adjacent to the new I I Westmead Hospital complex, Marsden Hospital pro- B vides for the care, training and education of approxi- H mately 400 children and adults with varying degrees of B mental handicap. Quite varied services are provided H on two campuses and amongst them are a Specialist fa School, Sheltered Workshop, Social Training and h Activity Centres. In addition, considerable use is made B of community facilities and resources. Residential B services are provided through hospital based wards ■ and units, and suburban housing. B Conditions of employment, on either a permanent or H temporary basis are excellent, and include a minimum B of six weeks annual leave, free uniform, and subsi- B dised meals. TARANAKI HOSPITAL BOARD DAY SUPERVISOR NURSING ADMINISTRATION APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED for the position of Day Supervisor Nursing Administration at Taranaki Base Hospital. This opportunity exists for a suitably qualified Registered Nurse (holding at least a Diploma of Nursing or equivalent) to develop the Senior Clinical Nursing Role. While some administrative, educational and research responsibilities will be included, the focus is on development of the Clinical Nursing Service. TARANAKI HOSPITAL BOARD PHYSICIAN (PERMANENT OR LOCUM) STRATFORD HOSPITAL APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED for the position of Medical Officer to the Stratford Hospital, either as a permanent appointment or on a short term locum basis. The positions are offered on a whole-time basis but an application for a part-time hospital appointment would be considered. Applicants should have a special interest in medicine and preferably be experienced in the giving of anaesthetics. A higher qualification in either would be an advantage. Salary - Specialist $35,121/45,213 plus cost of living allowance of $416 p.a. Non Specialist $24,286/ 37,290 plus cost of living allowance. Further information on both scales available. There is a full-time surgeon superintendent and medical officers attached to the hospital with whom duties will be shared. Family accommodation is available. The hospital has 62 general and 16 maternity beds, a new operating theatre suite and good ancillary services including a 24 hour laboratory and Xrayservice and physiotherapy and occupational therapy departments.
