Community groups to watch video
Community groups will be invited by the Christchurch City Council to view a video of the work of the Manukau Neighbourhood Development Unit The video outlines the projects and co-operative work schemes of the unit. Among those schemes is a house-building scheme for low-income families. Cr Vicki Buck, chairman of the council’s employment oromotion committee, said
ihe video might give inspiration to Christchurch community groups. The committee will also seek further information on the house scheme. Appointment Ms Martine Eller has been appointed to the council’s employment promotion division as co-orainator on job placements in the private sector. Her job will be to seek jobs for applicants in the private sector.
