Surgery for Otago M.P.
PA Wellington The National member of Parliament for Otago, Mr Warren Cooper, is in a satisfactory condition in Wellington Hospital after minor surgery yesterday, said the Chief Opposition Whip, Mr Don McKinnon, yesterday.
Mr Cooper has been granted leave from Parliament until Easter, Mr McKinnon said. He did not disclose the nature of the surgery. Last year Mr Cooper, then Minister of Foreign Affairs, had major surgery for a bowel condition.
