Squad retained

PA Auckland New Zealand will start the semi-final of the Eastern zone Davis Cup qualifying rounds with the same squad that was named to prepare for the successful tie against Taiwan. Jeff Simpson, the captain-

selector of the New Zealand team, said his team would be chosen from Chris and David Lewis, Russell Simpson, David Mustard, Kelly Evernden, Bruce Derlin and Steve Guy. The match will be against either China or Hong Kong.

China is currently leading their rain-disrupted tie, 2-0. If the semi-final is against China, it is almost certain to be played outdoors in Auckland in spite of the tie being played in May.
