Pedestrian fatally hurt

A pedestrian died in Christchurch Hospital last evening of injuries suffered after being struck by a car at the junction of Buss Street and Johns Road, Rangiora, about 6.20 p.m. yesterday. She was Mary Helena Stace, aged 74, of Rangiora.

She suffered head and internal injuries in the accident, and died at 8.45 p.m.
