Two teams for Aust. rules

It could be a boring year for Australian Rules players in Christchurch unless they find some more players. Last year the competition was played among three teams. This has now dropped to two teams with Woodlands not entering a side for the coming season. ■ Now, only two clubs will be lining up at the start of the

season, Avon and New Brighton Kangas. If the situation remains, the sides will play each other throughout the winter. The first competition game is only two weeks away on March 3 and in an effort to get more players interested in the code fitness training starts on; Tuesday evening in Hagley Park.
