5M kill mark
Waitaki N.Z. Refrigerating, Ltd, has reached the five million sheep and lamb kill for the season, more than two weeks ahead of any previous season.
It is the first time any New Zealand freezing company has achieved
a five-million kill by February. Waitaki’s managing director, Mr Athol Hutton, said the achievement by the firm’s nine works was “a
remarkable effort by all concerned.” “We are particularly pleased with the results from our new technology works at Marlborough, Nelson, and Wairoa,” he said.
