Port price
A price of £1250 ($2987) has been paid for a single bottle of port by an anonymous American. It is more than treble the previous highest recorded for a twentieth century port. It is a 1931 Quinta do Noval National, which comes from a single vineyard of pre-phyl-loxera vines, and only 250 cases are produced each year. It was bought from Whitewham’s the Cheshire wine merchant. — London.
