Poor timing causes flight delays
NZPA-Reuter London Poor time-keeping by airline passengers, in particular Americans, is often to blame for flight delays, according to a British travel magazine survey. “The inability of Americans to understand the 24hour clock may seem harmless eccentricity. But it can play havoc with an airline’s schedules and disrupt flights thousands of miles away," says “Executive” magazine. Flights did not depart without passengers who had checked their baggage, and then gone off thinking they had time to kill, because the baggage could represent a security risk, it said. The magazine sent a questionnaire to 24 international airlines.
