League flowback sought
NZPA Sydney The Wellington Rugby League is looking to turn the flow of top New Zealand league players to Australia into a two-way street by advertising for an Australian to head their way, according to reports here. The “Daily Mirror” said the Wellington league spokesman, Brian Wood,
was looking for a captaincoach, adding that the side was “desperately short of halves and three-quarters.” Mr Wood said the league was keen to talk to any backs or forwards who had played first or reserve grade in Sydney competitions, and the league would guarantee work with a negotiable salary, and accommodation.
