New president
Mr D. C. Tennent, who was born and educated at Wellington, has been appointed president of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy. He is the principal of D. C. Tennant and Associates, mining consultants, in Brisbane, Queensland. After completing his schooling in Wellington, Mr Tennent went to Otago University and graduated as an Associate of the Otago School of Mines.
