$10,000 taken in robbery
PA Invercargill More than $lO,OOO in cash and cheques was stolen from the Fiordland Travel Office at Te Anau on Tuesday night. A canvas bag, containing •cash, cheques and credit card payments was taken, said Sergeant lan MacFadyen,. of the Invercargill police. Entry was made through a door facing the lake front. Sergeant MacFadyen said there would have been a lot of noise, because of the damage to the door. The exact amount of money taken will not be known until today.
