Towbar fault suspected

PA Auckland Nissan New Zealand is asking owners of its new front-wheel-drive Bluebird range who have fitted towbars made by Acker Bilt Industries to get in touch with the dealer where they bought the car.

Nissan says' a flaw has been found in the fold of one towbar and the company wants to test all Acker Bilt towbars fitted to new Bluebirds to ensure they are safe. The towbars should not be used until they have been checked, the company said.
