More food aid
President Reagan has approved an additional ?USI2S million (about $256 million) worth of emergency food aid for drought-stricken countries in Africa. He signed an order releasing 300,000 tonnes of wheat from Government reserves and approving ?USSO million (about $lO2 million) to buy and transport more grains and other food to Africa. Peter McPherson, administrator of the Agency for International Development, said that Ethiopia was receiving as much food as it could handle so most of the new U.S. food would go to other countries.—Washington.
