Victim ‘comfortable’
The shop proprietress attacked six days ago at the Westside Gallery, Worcester Street, was last evening reported in a fairly comfortable condition in Christchurch Hospital. Mrs Joan Coyle, aged 49, was shot several times and
also suffered a fractured skull after being hit with a bottle. A man appeared in the District Court on Friday in connection with the attack and has been remanded in custody to December 14 for a psychiatric assessment.
