$19,000 theft
PA Auckland An Italian businessman lost $19,000 cash in a theft from his Auckland hotel room on Monday night. Mr Marco Cavallaro and his wife, Gabriella, were staying at the White Heron Regency in Parnell when
their room was burgled. Thieves made off with $19,000 in New Zealand and Italian currency and Mrs Cavallaro’s passport. The hotel’s manager, Mr John Hadi, said yesterday that no other room was burgled.
