$12,000 found in scrub
PA Dunedin Proceeds from a robbery in April last year totalling $12,000 reappeared unexpectedly in Dimedin when a man clearing scrub found the money dumped down a bank, the police said yesterday.
Mr Robert Bradford was clearing a scrub-covered bank on his property at Port Chalmers on Sunday when he heard rattling coins and discovered the money in bags and tins. The name on the tins identified the money as being stolen from Kaan’s
Greengrocery in i: Port Chalmers last year,’ the police said. The thief or thieves were never caught after the incident The police said it appeared they simply dumped the money. It would be returned to the store, they said. ,
