League granted licence

The Canterbury Rugby League has been granted a club licence to sell liquor at its clubrooms at the Addington Show Grounds. The Licensing Control Commission, chaired by Judge Willis, granted the licence from March 1 to October 31, from 8.30 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Wednesdays, and 2.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. on Saturdays. The licence was granted on the condition that membership cards be carried by all persons on the premises during licensed hours. A visitors’ book must be maintained and signed by all guests. The commission said that all players in clubs affiliated to the league had to register as league members, and that a list of members be held at the clubrooms.
