Endeavour Services Corporation, Ltd, raised its after tax trading profit, for the six months to September 30, 51.6 per cent to $1,945,000. The result includes share of equity profits but excludes minority interests. Sales for the period were $31,024,000, a 22 per cent increase from $25,457,000 in the previous corresponding period. The taxation provision was $1,726,000 (previously $1,288,000). All of the New Zealandoperating companies traded
profitably, but some losses continued from the Australian activities and also in the Cyplas European companies, the Endeavour directors said yesterday. For the first time the equity accounted profit from the industrial waste collections investment had been included. The rate of profit in-, crease achieved in the first half may not continue through the second half, but they expected a “material” improvement in the full year’s-profit over the preceding year, the directors said. ■
