Ellesmere cricket
Grant Keenan became the first Lincoln High School pupil to score a century in the Ellesmere senior cricket competition last week-end. Keenan scored 109 against Springston. Results:— Lincoln 138 (M. Allen 50, A. McDonald 25, A. Barkle 25; G. Hemi 7/42, J. Calder 2/24) and 61/0 (Allen 34 not out, McDonald 28 not out) met Weedons 98 (Hemi 22; W. Jones 7/38, P. Terrace 2/
32). Springston 129 (S. Baylis 32; C. Allen 3/10, G. Lewis 2/33) met Lincoln High School 179/5 (G. Keenan 109, Lewis 27; S. Eaton 2/26, Baylis 2/37). Southbridge B 116 (A. Campion 23, S. McPherson 36; B. Harkess 4/32, S. Jones 4/36) and 21/0 met Dunsandel 157/3 dec. (S. Boon 38, R. Saunders 31, R. Davidson 40, P. Chamberlain 41 not out; McPherson 2/26).
