Tenancy laws
A tenancy law reform bill which encompassed all existing scattered legislation in one act and set up a Residential . Tenancies Tribunal should be introduced in Parliament this year. The first draft of the bill was almost finished, said the Housing Corporation’s assistant director-general of; lending, Mr Don Cattanach; yesterday. Once completed, the draft will be discussed with the Landlords’ Association, Tenants’ Union, real estate agencies, and the Law Society. The corporation has been working with the Property Law and Equity Reform Committee to draft revised tenancy laws.
