Fluoride to be retained
PA Auckland Fluoride will continue to be added to Auckland metropolitan water supplies. The Auckland Regional Authority gave all 21 local bodies it supplies information on the issue after being asked to discontinue the practice. Only 15 of the councils replied and none asked for treatment to be stopped. Ten councils favoured the status quo. The rest said either that more investigation was needed, that they were not competent to decide, or that it was a decision for the Government.
