Interview with Des Wilson
An expatriate New Zealander, Des Wilson, is probably the leading British exponent of pressure group politics. He is chairman of three leading pressure groups: Friends of the Earth, the Campaign for lead-free Air, and the Campaign for Freedom of Information. President of the Young Liberals, and a noted
journalist, Wilson has been the scourge of politicians of all parties and a severe critic of industries for their irresponsible attitudes to environmental problems. In “New Zealanders Abroad” (Concert programme, 9 o’clock tonight) Des Wilson talks to David Delany.
