Old tomb unearthed

NZPA-AP Moscow Soviet archaeologists have unearthed a domed burial chamber more than, 4000 years old near the Black Sea port of Tuapse, the official news agency, Tass, reported today. The tomb, composed of four stone slabs standing more than three metres high, topped by a dome of ancient brickwork, was described as an unusual and valuable find. Radio-carbon analysis produced the date of 2340 B.C, plus or minus 40 years, Tass said, and the dolmen, or burial chamber, was probably built by people known to have navigated the Mediterranean Sea during the second and third millenium B.C.
