Bobanish wins workout

The Motukarara Trotting Association workouts attracted a large attendance on Sunday despite clashing with the Addington trials.

In the main pacers’ heat Bobanish led all the way to beat his stablemate, Nomad, by a length and a quarter with Secret Knight a half length back third. He recorded a time of 3min 31.2 s for the 2600 m, sprinting the last 800 m in 59.2 s and the final 400 m in 29.35.

Roman Guy posted 3min 32.1 in the Cl and faster trot after staging a good battle with Troppo, which was a length in arrears at the line, with Pitcher heading the rest five lengths away. The maiden pacer, Albear, was an easy winner defeating Neutron Star and Royal Link in 3min 38s, cutting out the last 800 m in Imin 4s and the final 400 m in 295.

Step Lightly (CO pace) credited the Ryan stable with its fourth heat winner when successful in 3min 31.1 s with Kinsoom and Tip Top filling the minor placings.
