International netball dates set well ahead

PA Hamilton Dates for netball competitions are being set as far ahead as 1987. Dates for the next world netball tournament in Glasgow, Scotland, had been tentatively set at August 22 to September 5, 1987, said the president of the New Zealand Netball Association, Anne Taylor.

In the more immediate future the Trinidad Netball

Association would play two test matches against New Zealand from February 410, although venues had yet to be set for these.

On a larger scale it had been decided that netball would be played at the World Games at Crystal Palace, London, on July 31 to August 2.

These matches would be interspersed with a European game similar to netball called korfbal. ’
