Changes at Command
Because of the pending retirement of the group managing director, Mr W. J. McLaughlan, Command Services Corporation has appointed a senior management term from within the company. .. Mr McLaughlan . retires on December 31, after 36: years with the company, but will remain a director, and has been appointed a consultant for special projects within the group.' Mr Lyndon J. Taylor, formerly managing director for New Zealand becomes group managing director. Mr Russell J. Kerr, formerly general manager, Crothall Property Services, Ltd, becomes managing director for New Zealand.
Mr A. John Campbell, formerly managing director of Crothall Industries, Ltd, becomes managing director for Australia.
Mr Robert Strachan, formerly assistant company
secretary, becomes finance director of the group. Mr Malcolm Mawson, formerly company secretary, becomes finance director for the Australian companies. Mr Nigel Perfect, formerly company secretary and finance controller, Crothall Industries, Ltd, becomes group chief accountant and company secretary.
In his statement announcing these appointments, the chairman Mr Guy A. Weston, emphasised the need for a strong and experienced management structure on both sides of the Tasman. “Our group must continue to respond effectively to the changing business environment in each country where we have considerable market presence. “The board has confidence that this management team will maintain a successful growth path,” he added.
