CONSERVATION ACT 1967 APPLICATIONS FOR GRANT OF RIGHT NOTICE is hereby given by the Board of the receipt of it of the following applications: 0592, L. R. SMART, LEITHFIELD, to discharge up to 2000 cubic metres of stormwater per day at a maximum rate of 120 litres per second into a tributary of the Leithfield Outfall Drain from a proposed 3.5 hectare residential subdivision at Kings Road, Lefthfleld Beach. Purpose: disposal of stormwater. 0593, I. G. and Y. EVANS, OHOKA, to take 864 cubic metres of water per day, 3 days per week at the rate of 30 litres per second from the Ohoka Stream at property. Mill Road, for spray irrigation purposes. 0594, J. N. BAIN, WAIPARA, to take 99 cubic metres of water per day at the rate of 2.3 litres per second from a 305 mm well, 80 metres deep at property, Bain Road, for trickle irrigation purposes. 0595, G. and P. J. RICHARDS, WEEDONS, to take 270 cubic metres of water per day at the rate of 3.4 litres per second from 1 Isomm well, 59 metres deep at property, Knights Road, for spray irrigation purposes. 0596, B. J. DAKIN AND CO. LTD, EYRETON, to discharge up to 88 cubic metres of wool scour wastes per day, 5 days per week, on to the land at property of T. Ballantine, Banyons Road, via a tanker disposal system, in circumstances where that waste or any other waste emanating as a result of natural processes from that waste could enter natural water. 0597, SOUTH ROAD FARM, LTD, ROLLESTON, to take 5184 cubic metres of water per day at the rate of 60 litres per second from a 300 mm well, 101.2 metres deep at property, Main South Road, for spray irrigation purposes. 0598, J. E. DAWBER, BISHOPDALE, to take 180 cubic metres of water per day, 4 days per month at the rate of 5 litres per second from the Styx River at property, 233 Gardiners Road, for spray irrigation purposes. 0599, HASSALL-ZINO IRRIGATION SCHEME, (C/- T. H. Hassall), The Peaks, Hawarden, (a), (b), and (c) to divert, by means of a 400-metre long diversion channel, 47,520 cubic metres of water per day at the rate of 550 litres per second from the Hurunui River at a point adjacent to S. T. Hassall’s property; take 38,880 cubic metres of water per day at the rate of 450 litres per second for a border-dyke Irrigation scheme involving five farm properties; and to discharge 8640 cubic metres of bywash water per day back to the Hurunui River at a minimum rate of 100 litres per second. Note; this application replaces right NCY 840041 by water of a variation in the means of water access. SUBMISSIONS OR OBJECTIONS The above applications may be examined at the office of the North Canterbury Catchment Board, corner of Latimer Square and Worcester Street, Christchurch, during office hours. Any body or persons may at any time within 28 days of this notice, lodge with the Board written submissions on any application or any objection to any application. Every objection shall be on the ground that the application would prejudice the objector's interests or the interests of the public generally, and shall be made, in writing setting out the grounds on which the objector relies. Every objection shall be supported by a statutory declaration verifying the contents thereof, and shall be accompanied by a $2O deposit. Written submissions or objections to the above applications will be received by the board not later than 5 p.m. on Monday, December 3, 1984. E. R.
