Situations Vacant MINISTRY OF ENERGY ELECTRICITY FITTER MARSDEN POWER STATION A VACANCY exists for an Electrical Fitter. Marsden Power Station is situated in Bream Bay 38km south of Whangarel. It fronts an attractive beach and primary and secondary schools, together with most recreational facilities, are within a short distance. DUTIES: To assist with the maintenance of two oil fire steam driven 120 MW turbo alternator generating units and associated plant, control and distribution equipment. QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants should be indentured to the trade, and registered electricians. Some experience in steam driven electrical plant, heavy rotating machinery, H.T. electrical systems and their control equipment is preferred. CONDITIONS: Salary will be determined by qualifications. On satisfactory completion of a probationary period, normal Public Service conditions as to sick and annual leave will apply.
