Mobley to coach Papatoetoe

PA Auckland Vic Mobley will coach Papatoetoe in the Rothmans soccer league next season, replacing Jack Vercauteran who has moved to Mt Wellington. Mobley had a long playing career as a professional with the English first division clubs Sheffield Wednesday and Queens Park Rangers.

He has had various coaching jobs around Auckland since settling here after a coaching contract with

Eden in 1975. Since then he has had a season with Mt Wellington, during which the club won the Air New Zealand Cup, another spell with Waitemata City and most recently spent a season and a half as the assistant coach at Hanimex North Shore.

Mobley is shortly to undergo some minor surgery and then he will travel to England to spend some time with his old Sheffield Wednesday club brushing up on coaching techniques.
