Airline officials confused

Travel editor Mystery surrounds the planned resumption of flights to New Zealand by the Argentinian airline, Aerolineas Argentineas. The airline had announced earlier this week that it would return to Auckland on November 19 with its first flight since April, 1982. However, according to a Press Association report from Buenos Aires on Thursday,, the flights have been delayed for “technical reasons.”

The statement, released by the Argentinian Ministry of Works, has surprised both the Sydney and Auckland offices of the airline.

A spokesman said he had been trying since Thursday to get the matter clarified. He said he hoped to receive “official” news from Buenos Aires during the' week-end. Meanwhile, the airline has stopped accepting bookings. Passengers already holding tickets will be advised about their flights next week.
