New head for Tokelau appointed
PA Wellington Mr Adrian Macey has been appointed Official Secretary of Tokelau Affairs. Tokelau is a non-self-gov-erning New Zealand territory. It is governed by an Administrator resident in New Zealand and the Tokelau Public Service which is based in Western Samoa. The present head of the Public Service, Mr Tony Browne, is soon to complete his two-year term. His successor, Mr Macey, has been a member of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 1975. He served in the New Zealand embassy in Paris and has been seconded to the State Services Commission.
He will take up the appointment in January.
