Mr Mauger and Mr Burgess hold the certificates they received to mark their long service to the chapel. Between them they have served a total of 86 years at the chapel. Mr Burgess took services at the chapel every Sunday for 30 years from 1931, and then took them every alternative Sunday for another 23 years. Mr Mauger has taken the Sunday services every fortnight for the last 23 years. The service also marked 35 years since the chapel was shifted to the hospital from the Church of England Cemetery at Woolston.
