Boy George’S privacy invaded
NZPA-AAP London Boy George may never move into his new luxury London home because its address has been revealed in newspapers.
The pop star goes to great lengths to protect his privacy and fears, fans will start camping outside the $1.2 million mansion, in exclusive Hampstead.
So angry ,is the Culture Club singer that, according to his record company, Virgin, he is trying to find a legal way of getting out of the house deal, the “Standard” reported. If that fails, he is prepared to put the Gothic folly - former home, of the late comic, Marty Feldman — back on the market without moving in.
Culture Club is how touring the United States and will not be back in Britain until the end of next month, when a decision will be made.
Ellie Smith, of Virgin Records, said, “He is totally outraged and feels very depressed and betrayed.
“He loves his fans and is very happy to meet them at shows, or out and about, but when he goes home he expects to be able to shut the door and have some privacy.”
To add to his troubles, Boy George’s tour has got off to a bad start, with dates in Dallas and New York cancelled because of poor ticket sales.
