Expensive car

With the Middle East market very much in mind, Aston Martin Lagonda, one of Britain’s prestige carmakers, has come up With a stretched version of its Lagonda which is claimed to be the world’s most expensive car — the Limousine. It is a joint creation by Aston Martin and its coachbuilding associate, Tickford, and it combines perform-

ance with the sort of comfort that an Arab sheik expects these days. It is 25.4 cm longer and has scm more headroom than the standard version. Aston Martin Lagonda plans to produce about 12 of these cars each year. That is not really surprising when one considers that the price in Britain will be around £lOO,OOO plus tax.
